Dr. Sunil (Sunny) Mehta
Dr. Sunny graduated in 2004 from the University of Waterloo. He moved back to Edmonton, Alberta where was born and raised. Areas of special interest are in both low vision and dry eye therapy. Advancing eye care with state of the art diagnostic equipment has always been of the utmost importance. He strives to find unique solutions to his patient’s vision concerns.
Taking pride in every eye exam and appreciating the relationships he has forged with his patients over the decades has been very fulfilling. In his leisure, he enjoys travelling and outdoor walks with his wife and two children.
Dr. Greg Hahn
Dr Greg Hahn has been proudly serving Edmontionians with their vision needs since the early 2000s. He has extensive knowledge with eye diseases, and strives to provide thorough, informative exams. Due to his incredible work Dr Hahn is highly sought after and only accepts new patients based on specific criteria or by ophthalmologist referral.
Dr. Basim Taliani
Dr.Taliani joined Dr. Hahn at Ottewell Eye Care in 2021, bringing with him a full scope of skills which highlight primary eye care, contact lens fitting, and the management of eye diseases. Dr Taliani is currently accepting new patients.
Dr.Karam Rahall

Dr. Amanda Stout
Dr. Stout graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry on the Dean’s Honor List in 2017. She first became interested in the visual system while completing her Bachelor of Science at McGill University in Montreal (graduating in 2011 with a major in Anatomy & Cell Biology and a minor in Neuroscience). With a focus on primary eye care for the whole family, Dr. Stout enjoys finding creative solutions for unmet visual needs and helping patients gain a better understanding of their eye conditions. She takes special interest in Myopia Control, Binocular Vision, and Dry Eye/Ocular Surface Disease.
Dr. Ngo
Dr. Ngo graduated from the New England College of Optometry located in Boston, Massachusetts in 2010 with full honors (Beta Sigma Kappa – International Optometric Honor Society). Joanne was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She first became interested in optometry when her mom was working in an optical lab in the late 90s. Outside of optometry, Joanne practices yoga, martial arts, and enjoys rock climbing in the mountains. She and her husband are raising two adventurous little boys who also love the great outdoors.
Dr. Marrissa Gilmar
Dr. Marrissa Gilmar is a dedicated optometrist who provides comprehensive, patient-centered eye care for individuals and families. She is committed to helping patients achieve their best vision through thorough eye exams, personalized recommendations, and a compassionate approach to care.
